Several years ago I came across a film called Mirage Men. The film shows through confessions by former government intelligence officers how the UFO community was fed propaganda as if it was leaked real info. Paul Bennewitz was a businessman who discovered some odd things going on at a nearby military base and began digging into it. The story told by the government agents is that they were told to target him. The goal being keeping him off track by feeding him dis-information. His home was bugged and the film suggests that this abuse of Bennewitz eventually led to his mental breakdown.
I will add that who knows, maybe this film is the propaganda. I don't know if the film speaks the truth but it does make logical sense. This is not to say that the government is NOT hiding info about UFOs. I have no doubt that if the government had info on UFOs they would not share it. We can't even get honesty about things like assignations, elections, and the behavior of our so-called representatives. We really can't trust the state at all if we are wise about how we grant trust.
Several times on this site I have seen people discuss conspiracy theories and I never could remember the name of this film. There are some lessons to learn from this story. The one that immediate comes to mind for me is the recent government hearings about UFOs or whatever they are calling them theses days. Believe what you want but I don't believe these stories are sincere or real. You have to ask yourself the question why. Why are they talking about this now? My thought is to get public support for more funding.
My main point is stay skeptical. Especially when what you want to believe is seemingly being confessed as truth. Make no mistake, the state will contradict itself, lie, cheat, and kill to protect its interests. We are just cattle in the system. Even those in the state operations are just cattle. They are just tools used for means to an end. The perpetuation of the state.
Anyway, this is an interesting film whether you believe in UFOs or not.
Living near Kirtland Air Force Base, Paul Bennewitz was convinced these phenomena were of extraterrestrial origin. Instead of discouraging his interest, the Air Force officers, including Doty, encouraged him to dig deeper, providing him with computer software that "interpreted" the signals and even dumping fake props for him to discover. This led to Bennewitz's obsession with interpreting alien languages and spotting crashed alien craft, which eventually resulted in his mental breakdown and admission to a psychiatric facility in 1988.

Yep this one is a must-watch for sure, terrible what happened to Paul. #345905
The recent hearing in 2023 was what really made me take a serious look at the UFO topic and dig into the "lore", or the story so far. Before that I was listening to Eric Weinstein talk about the subject a lot and was intrigued, but not convinced enough to dig much further.
Believe what you want but I don't believe these stories are sincere or real.
The three that testified seem extremely credible. I would listen to their testimony yourself if you haven't:
David Grusch is just basically relaying what he's been told from ~40 whistleblowers, sure, but does someone like David Fravor seem credible to you? It's not just military, but commercial airline pilots too, seeing these things.
Maybe the state does have a plan for more funding, "These are dangerous, we need $$$", maybe they take it a step further "Aliens are real, they ain't our friend, $$$ please!"
This fits pretty much right into what Dr. Steven Greer says about the phenomenon: a very select few in the government knows exactly what they are, whose they are (Lockheed, Northrop Grumman?), there are unacknowledged black projects operating on this planet, and the state's last ditch effort to maintain power will be to stage an alien invasion (Project Blue Beam). Here's one of his docs Unacknowledged
I don't know who to believe or not believe, I just take everything in as data, like a detective. At this point I'm pretty sure there's things flying around in the sky, and I think the tech that makes them fly can help this planet greatly.
This image was the funniest thing from John Oliver's UFO segment lol. The rest was pretty low effort coverage of the topic.

I just go on my personal experience. I have been the subject of targeting, and it is far more bizarre than anyone can imagine. It extends beyond the UFO community, and into other realms. The problem is that there are bigger things beyond this realm, and well they can target too. Ive seen it, pretty much everything is a honeypot to sift people out, whom will you serve type of thing.

I agree. I go by personal experience. I know they are real. That and the plethora of evidence found at Eyes On Cinema on YouTube, I don’t question it anymore. However, what is the point of spending time thinking about it if it doesn’t affect my daily life?
reply
It is affecting your everyday life, when there are agencies physical or spiritual or other worldly messing around with things, for sure you are having your everyday life affected.

It's part of what makes this a fun area to speculate about. There are other confirmed cases of the US military staging showcases of supposed UFO's for select individuals who they knew would leak it. I think I read about that in the book In Plain Sight.

I will add that I've asked multiple times on SN for help finding this film. I couldn't remember the name of the UFO researcher or the film. I'm curious if anyone here has seen this film or heard of this story. Surely its not just me.

Yes, recently. I'm not surprised he was being fed misinformation. Sorry I missed your previous inquiries asking about this.

This is pretty much where I'm at. We are being psyoped constantly by many different actors. They just don't use that label.
